Texada Aerospace Camp
We would love to see you on Texada Island for the Texada Aerospace Camp! The purpose of the Camp is to immerse youth aged 10 to 15 years in the basics of aviation and aerospace sciences using unique training aids specifically designed and built by experienced volunteers – aircraft maintenance engineers, software developers, pilots and scientists, among others.
Texada Blues & Roots Festival
Celebrating the music of our local musicians! Most of our performers are from within 100 km of Gillies Bay. We have a diverse group of performers for your enjoyment while showcasing Texada Island, the largest island in the Gulf Island chain. This Texada music festival is for everyone; fabulous blues and roots, food and craft vendors, a kids’ zone for the young ones to play, the Farmer’s Market on Sunday, and a place to quench the adults’ thirst.
Texada Annual Fly-In and Fling
Get ready for an exhilarating weekend on Texada Island with the annual Fly-In and Fling. The festivities kick off Saturday evening with the Fling: a lively dinner and dance at the Legion where burgers, wings, live music and island hospitality set the tone. The real excitement hits on Sunday at the airfield with a pancake breakfast, BBQ lunch, vintage-plane displays, a show-and-shine for cars and bikes, and an aviation museum and flight-simulator open for all. Whether you’re a pilot, a plane enthusiast, or just in the mood for a laid-back island escape, this event offers a little something for everyone.
Sandcastle Weekend

Whether you’re a dedicated sand-artist or just looking for family-friendly fun by the beach, this celebration brings together sand sculpture competitions, live entertainment, vendors, and more — a perfect mix of creativity, community and seaside joy. Road Rally
The Texada Road Rally is a highly anticipated, community-driven car rally and scavenger hunt organized by the Texada Island Non-Profit Seniors Housing Society (TINSHS). This festive fundraising event brings residents together to support affordable housing initiatives on Texada Island.
