Texada Aviation Week

July 24 – 27, 2024

We are a non-profit, volunteer-based organization under the umbrella of Texada Arts, Culture & Tourism Society, with a mission to introduce the world of aviation/aerospace to our youth, and beyond to the larger community.

Every summer, Texada Island hosts Aviation Week. The celebration consists of two events; the Texada AeroSpace Camp and the Fly-In Fling.

For more information on Aerospace Camp.

Aviation Week starts with the four-day Texada Aerospace Camp, held Tuesday to Friday, and wraps up with the Fling on Saturday evening, and the Fly-In on Sunday. The Aerospace Camp is held in the organization’s own hangar that was built and paid for by volunteers. The Texada AeroSpace Camp Hangar contains the Texada Aviation Museum and Library, including aviation technical and aviation history displays and paintings, and an amateur radio room. For more information on the Hangar, and the Museum and Library, see our page Texada aviation-museum and library.

Texada Airport boasts of a 3000 ft. asphalt runway and a campground where many aviation-minded people gather every year to celebrate flight during Aviation Week.
