Texada Arts, Culture & Tourism Society (TACT)
TACT was formed in early 2004. Its mission is:
1.
To support and nurture the arts, culture and tourism on Texada Island.
2.
To encourage arts, culture and tourism in harmony with the existing economic activities which are the mainstay of Texada Island, and in a way which supports the overall island community.
3.
To develop and stimulate ways for people working in the arts, culture and tourism fields to be a strong part of the economic base of Texada Island.
TACT sponsors the Texada Island Visitors Centre and this website. TACT also sponsors various island cultural activities, and founded the annual jazz festival "Jazz on the Rocks."
Anyone interested in the arts, culture or tourism on Texada Island is invited to become involved in TACT.
Memberships start at $10.00 for individuals and $25.00 for businesses. A business membership includes brochure rack space at the Visitors Centre at Blubber Bay and a link on the TACT website.
